That's my friend's opinion on gaming and I won't be surprised if many other people think that way. Playing video games has always been a bad wrap from being an unhealthy addiction to a primary cause of violence. But through the seemly typical lifeless gamer glued affront of his plasma television, there's an exchange of knowledge from the game to the gamerzz. One cannot observe this phenomenon, but only experience it. I don't call myself as a pro gamer(maybe, that would be an insult to real gamerzz anyway) but I'm lucky enough to be brought up with humble gaming interests. For me here's are some reasons why gaming is more than just for entertainment or make time pass by
1. Gaming Improves Hand-Eye Coordination

2. We're Better Prepared For The Apocalypse

3. Gaming Provides Us 50% Of Our Daily Learning Intake
roller-coaster tycoon
I've tried this game after my bro promote it to me and the true story: I've learned the basic concept of economics through Rollercoaster Tycoon without even knowing the terms for it. The game put you in charge own rollercoaster theme park from setting ride prices to hiring staffs. I learned how everything works; how to achieve near optimal revenue, concept of supply and demand and good placement to effectively utilize assets. It's also true that "it's just a waste of time"?? friend is retarded in microeconomics. I wonder why. Maybe you guys should try Zoo Tycoon also, only the different is you just need to handle with those animals. But its really test your patience with those animal's behavior.
4. Emotional Intelligence
This doesn't only depend to gaming but gaming does involve a lot of emotional control. Online gaming can be stressful because its home to trolls(griefers, asshats, what so ever you want to call them) who feeds off of other player's anger. One moment your team is winning, but the next moment your team ultimately loses because a troll joined your team and decides to do something counterproductive. Sometimes trolls do get to some people who just want to game after a day of hard work. But it's a 24/7 fucking job to keep them from ruining your gaming experience. Props to people who can just walk away from trolls because it's harder than pushing hate back, but for people who unintentionally feed the troll are pure comedy material. hehe..
